Joshua K. Beverly, MD

Dr. Joshua Beverly grew up in San Diego, California. During medical school, he performed research  investigating poloxamer 188 (P188) interactions with heparin/tPA. He also helped start a program for elementary youth in westside Chicago in order to build excitement for science and health care. As a resident physician at Harbor – UCLA Medical Center, he conducted research in preventative cardiology and also served as co–chair for the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion Committee.

He was drawn to Cardiology given the variety of skills to be learned and roles that can be performed in addition to an intangible attraction to the heart form and function

In his free time, he enjoys exploring cities/restaurants, basketball, poetry, and boxing.
